Helping us walk alongside others who are.. Part 1
Seeking out Gospel truth
“Just for Starters” is a short and clear entry-level study all about what the Bible says about God, us, and our relationship with Him through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is split up into 7 bite-sized topics, including how to be saved, prayer, and the church - it’s ideal for doing with someone. Grab a couple of copies and invite a younger believer, someone investigating Christianity, or someone who simply wants a refresher of the Gospel of grace to do it with you.
Grieving
“Someone I know is Grieving” goes back to basics, encouraging us with practical help to walk alongside those grieving with humility and wisdom. As the church, we are empowered with more than meal trains (they are great – but not the sum total of care). We who have been comforted by God are now made to be comforters each to another with great compassion, care and the hope of Christ who is our wisdom.
Friends
“Caring for One Another” isn’t a ‘quick guide’ to friendship, albeit having eight ways to cultivate meaningful relationships. Rather, they are eight biblical principles to reflect upon as we seek to truly befriend one another. This isn’t just in a time of crisis, but to help us live out friendship as God intended, where we are truly known, rejoiced with, prayed for and even graciously confronted. It isn’t so much what to look for in a friend – but how to be the friend that images God’s love towards others.
